Sarah's Fantastics Art

Sarah's Amazing Art

This is an animated gift I made during computer class with fun exciting colors.

To the left is a picture I was really inspired about for a while. My main idea with this painting was to capture how the lake looks in my eyes. When there is a sunset. These are a few of my favorite colors and I like putting them together making many beautiful colors, to make a sunset.

To the left is a picture of a bright blossoming flower to brighten up a sappy and sad day. The colors go quite well together making this painting extremely pretty in my opinion.

Below is a piece of art that I created with one of my friends. We tried to create a colorful representation of a rainbow. We would switch of colors of the rainbow so it was a two person job and a two person effort. She also has an art web page click on Caitlyn to see some of her other work.

My name is Sarah and I am an eighth grader, and attend Immaculate Heart of Mary School. Andy Warhol is my favorite artist, I very much enjoy all of his wonderful artwork. Andy Goldsworthy's talented work is a huge influence to my art, all of the earthy colors that work really well together and the shapes he uses are amazing and his art is definitely something I would refer to as “chill.” I enjoy drawing and painting pictures of nature and items you would find in nature. I really like natural tones.

Here is a link to my favorite Goldsworthy painting.

Here is another link to my favorite Warhol painting.

Over the years my art has progressed very much from stick figures with plain lines as hair to shaped faces with beautiful, detailed faces. Also with my other art I have learned a lot of skill in the past three years.

To the left is a picture I drew with charcoal in sixth grade. At this time I only would draw pictures of girls that all looked exactly like one another. Then I started to become interested in using color, paint, and pastels. Recently I have very much enjoyed painting pictures of nature. This was at the time when I was learning the fundamentals. My art really started to get its kick when I learned perspective, as seen here. This was just the beginning, all my art really improved after learning all the fundamentals like I stated before. So as you may notice my art has really made some progress, over the past few years.

Above is one of my most recent paintings. I tried to capture just a beautiful scene that I saw in my head. The ideal scene with the water, mountain, and the sunset. The scene you want to look at when you are stressed and have a lot on your mind. Many of my paintings look very similar to this. I like to use the same natural colors and I don't really change the way I design things.

The painting above is from seventh grade, at that time I was into using a lot of black and making my human figures the the same way. The words “Don't tell me that I am dying” are from a song that as I was drawing this picture, the words came into mind. I think the black adds a lot to this painting if it were any other color I feel the painting wouldn't be taken as intense or be the same.

This painting to the left is my most recent piece of art. I have been working on this painting for a few months. In this painting I used many natural colors and tried going outside the box by shading and using gradience.
